Nnamdi Kanu's principal attorney, Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN, has stated that it is impossible for humans to comprehend the complexity of the acquittal of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.

Ozekhome said the lower court glossed over the case presented to it on the "kidnap, torture, and extraordinary rendition" of Kanu from Kenya back to Nigeria, but the Appellate Court discharged him on all seven counts bordering on terrorism brought against him (Kanu) by the Federal Government on Thursday. Ozekhome spoke shortly after the appeal court sitting in Abuja discharged and acquitted Kanu on all seven counts.

Kanu's release by the Court of Appeal was described by Ozekhome as "one of those things that you can say (are) ineffable, indescribable, it is only God that can fathom it, because its depth and breadth, its plenitude and amplitude are too wide, too complex for any human understanding" as he thanked "Jesus for getting Nnamdi Kanu out" on his knees with his team of lawyers.

All seven of the remaining accusations against Nnamdi Kanu were today dropped despite being upheld by the Federal High Court. The lower court glossed over the kidnapping, torture, and extraordinary rendition of Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya back to Nigeria on June 26, 2021.

The detained leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, was reported to have won his appeal before the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, on Thursday. He was also released and found not guilty of
all seven terrorism charges that the Federal Government had filed against him.
