The United States Mission in Nigeria met with David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, on Thursday to express support for Nigeria's rapidly expanding entertainment sector.


The mission posted the following message on its verified Twitter account: "The United States is pleased to play a vital role in Nigeria's vibrant music scene.


We discussed Nigeria's rapidly expanding entertainment sector and how it supports the U.S.-Nigeria alliance as we were pleased to meet Afrobeat sensation @davido earlier today.


Davido and his group posed for photos with the ambassador for the mission.
