The Anambra State governor, Charles Soludo, verbally attacked Peter Obi, the Labour Party's presidential candidate. The Labour Party has responded.
When Soludo claimed that Obi was just acting dramatic because he knew he wouldn't win the election, he stirred up a hornet's nest.
Several angry reactions have since trailed the outburst.
In a statement made available to GIST SPEAKER on Wednesday, signed by Chief Innocent Sunday Okeke (Duru Agumba), National Vice Chairman, South East, Labour Party, he claimed Soludo had allowed enmity and selfishness to becloud his sense of thinking.
The Anambra Governor, who was formerly well-respected, according to Okeke, has now reduced himself as a result of the outburst against Obi.
Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the governor of Anambra State, is regarded by Ndi Igbo as one of the bright spots and a great academic from the extremely rich Igbo great kingdom culture.
"He accomplished just like many of the great Igbo men of today, rising from nothing to become human dynamos.
"He did not come from a noble family or have a silver spoon in his mouth, but he broke the curse of poverty. He rose from his impoverished hamlet of Isuofia in the Aguata LGA of the Anambra state and went around the globe to pursue his goals.

Ndi Igbo and all of Nigeria view him as one of the great Igbo leaders with dignity and respect thanks to these.
However, similar to the tale of the disintegrating bags, Professor Soludo has begun to tumble from his position of honor and respect, failing to live up to the hopes of those who looked to him as a role model for the future Igbo leader.
He said that Soludo, a brilliant scholar with a sterling reputation, had allowed his narrow-mindedness to betray him.
Hate, according to Okeke, is a nasty mental state that might impair one's ability to reason normally. And this is precisely what happened in Prof. Soludo's irrational outburst about Peter Obi's government investment in Anambra in 2014.
Through his hatred for Peter Obi, Soludo was quick to overlook the connection between financial savings and investment. Unquestionably, Obi saved N75 billion for the future of his state of Anambra, including $50 million in each of the three current commercial banks and N3.5 billion in the International Brewery.
He transferred control of this investment to new management (the governor), who has never denied being aware of the holdings. We may debate whether the management (governor) looked after the investment well another day. And the former was given to Soludo, who is now casting doubt on Mr. Obi after he left the government after nine years with verifiable savings and investments. This is uncalled for and is condemned by the entire Igbo race as well as all of Nigeria.
The global brewery as we know it now, which employs 10,000 Anambrarians, is not a terrible investment, and the stock market decline is a Nigerian problem that has impacted the stock of every company.
Despite his intense hatred for Mr. Obi, Soludo should have exercised judgment by remaining silent. However, for the sake of the Nigerian project, he chose to stand with the majority of the populace.

Given that he too needs the support of the populace to succeed, he recommended the Governor keep an eye on it moving forward and avoid causing major embarrassment for himself and governance.
